The previously determined salary range for this position was $185,000 – $325,000

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the Illinois Eye and Ear (IEE) is seeking multiple junior- and senior-level faculty to join the Divisions of Glaucoma, Retina, Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and Pediatric Ophthalmology & Adult Strabismus. The Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences is a comprehensive department with broad clinical and research expertise and productivity.
The Department is also seeking an Ophthalmic Hospitalist to provide specialized care for hospitalized patients and patients presenting to the hospital, while leading the inpatient ophthalmology consultation service.
The physicians will also have clinical opportunities at our satellite clinic, 55th and Pulaski (FFP), Millennium Park Eye Center (MPEC), as well as contractual agreements through our clinical and academic partners.
The full-time, tenure track positions will involve outpatient and inpatient clinical practice, medical student, resident and fellow education, and academic pursuits including clinical and/or basic science research. There are opportunities for substantial research support and time. The faculty members will also be eligible to apply for NEI K12/Independent Clinician Vision Scientist (ICVS) Development Program.

Requirements
Requirements include board eligibility or certification in ophthalmology, post-graduate fellowship training in subspecialty is expected, and eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois.
